Re: Stroke
Quick update fellas,I’ve made a remarkable recovery over the last few days,no lasting damage.
I’ve managed to keep my blood pressure in the parameters the doctors wanted it to be in,they’ve reduced and in some cases eliminated a lot of the IV drugs I was on and tonight they will eliminate the last IV.
If my BP is is still in the margins they find acceptable tomorrow morning they will monitor me for the best part of tomorrow and the chances are I can go home.

It’s certainly been a wake up call to me and the process to adjust my lifestyle begins now..I’ll always feel like I’m on the cliffs edge for the rest of my life unfortunately, but that’s life I guess.

Thank you all for your well wishes and helpful information regarding this bastard thing, and for those who are in/or know someone in a similar situation I wish you nothing but the best.

Regards Sanfran.

Wish you all the best with your recovery San Fran. I posted on here back in April 2011 asking for bar recommendations to watch us play villa While I was in San Francisco. you told me where you would be watching the game and we ended up having a few early morning beers together, top man!

One of the few Who’ers I’ve met.
Ironically my Mum had one 2 weeks ago & likely will not recover. She is in a bad way currently and is a lifelong Hammer.

Very Best to you SF.

Re: Stroke
Pleased to read you've survived.

My best mate was found after having a massive one that he wouldn't have known much about. Aged 54.

Smoker, drinker. But on BP meds for years.

Re: Stroke
Sorry to hear that sanfran mate.

If it's any consolation, my old man had one 5 years ago. We were told "this is the type of stoke most people don't recover from" - yet he's made an almost complete recovery. Got a bit of short term memory loss at times (which my mum is sure is selective), but other than that you would never know he'd had one.
